Cross Purpose is a 4 piece roots / rock / blues band formed in 2005 when the men met in church and began playing music together there. Soon they moved beyond those walls into a variety of venues that include vineyards, farms, street fairs, coffeehouses, and taprooms to name just a few.

Cross Purpose has entertained at such venues as Hopkins Vineyard, City Center Danbury Summer Concert Series, Brown Barn Farms in New Hampton NY, The Bethel CT Summer Concert Series, Harvest Moon Orchard in North Salem NY, Harvest Moon Orchards in North Salem NY, The Bushnell in Hartford, The Howland Cultural Center in Beacon NY, High Falls Café, The Howland Cultural Center, CitiFest Waterbury, The Putnam County 4-H Fair in Carmel NY, and many others.

They are experienced players who know how to tailor their material to the venue and can even downsize from a full drum kit to quieter cajon/djembe percussion. They deliver a quality performance and lean toward songs that are entertaining, fun to play, and even occasionally meaningful. While Cross Purpose plays a lot of originals (including some that are a bit satirical) they also include an eclectic variety of covers.
